Job Description
A pivotal role working for a growing charity who are looking for a talented professional to lead their Public Affairs work. The role is suited to someone who can lead the Public Affairs, Communications and Campaigns team to help build a more integrated society, especially given the recent EU referendum results. Other job responsibilities include:
- Building awareness of the organisation amongst politicians and policy makers
- Maintaining relationships with stakeholders and key politicians
- Raising the organisations profile through engaging campaigns
- Deliver strong strategies and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
The successful candidate will have a track record of working with senior political figures, a good media understanding and interest in campaigning. Reporting to the Directors team, you will sit on the Leadership team and have six members of staff reporting into you- therefore managerial experience is a must. The successful candidate will also possess the following experience/ skills:
- Experience in public affairs and campaigning, preferably within a third-sector organisation, is ideal however not essential
- Experience of managing a team and projects
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Would be beneficial for someone who is passionate about social equality issues to join the organisation
